What are you planning to do now?

I'm going to go to Cianwood and challenge the gym leader there. If I can beat him, I think I'll get Fly.

The HM, right? Have you gotten the Violet badge too?

Then that's not a bad idea! If you get Fly, then you're set for easier traveling.

Right! Plus, I bet it's really fun to fly on a Pokémon.

It's definitely a different experience, nothing at all like riding a plane.
