Twenty-Second Vision

[Wataru starts the feed with a wave, a beautiful Glaceon next to him.]

Hi! I just wanted to check in with everyone since I'm, um. Kind of back in Goldenrod again.

[He looks... sheepish.]

I ended up back here sometime during that weekend nobody remembers, and I forgot to tell everyone about it. So... yeah! I'll probably be sticking around until after the holidays if anybody wants to meet up. After that I'm going to finish getting all of the Johto badges and then go back to Kanto.

So, what about you guys? Are any of you going to be in Goldenrod for the rest of December? And how many of you are going to take on the Kanto gyms? I don't know when I'll finally be able to go, but it might be cool to meet up over there, too!

And no, not really. Just don't feel like lugging the whole gang on down through the snow to get to the city. Figured we'd have a quiet holiday and all that.

Oh, if you're with a bunch of others-- yeah, that makes sense. And you're right, Christmas gets a lot noisier in Johto than it ever did at home.

Heh, actually, it's a lot quieter here than it ever was at home... Christmas is kinda a big thing in America.

Well... pretty much right after Halloween, the stores start putting Christmas decorations up... Christmas commercials start popping up all over the TV... people go nuts shopping for gifts...

[She shakes her head with a sort of wry grin.]

It's just all over the place.

Can't avoid it.

... Not gonna lie, though. I was always kinda fond of how stupidly ever-present it was.

Hah! Don't really blame you. But it's not all bad.

Lots of good food and then on Christmas Eve people go singing carols door to door in the street... well, most people. Dad and I didn't really do it. We got some at the door a few times though.

Depends on who was singin' 'em!

If I recall correctly, some of the neighbors when I was five or so were really good singers, but I, on the other hand, was referred to as 'Caterwauler'.

A nickname I'm still proud of.

Actually, it's Blackthorn and Mahogany. Ecruteak is the Fog Badge.

We'd still have to go the same way for them though, so wanna just travel together?
