[Wataru starts the feed with a wave, a beautiful Glaceon next to him.]

Hi! I just wanted to check in with everyone since I'm, um. Kind of back in Goldenrod again.

[He looks... sheepish.]

I ended up back here sometime during that weekend nobody remembers, and I forgot to tell everyone about it. So... yeah! I'll probably be sticking around until after the holidays if anybody wants to meet up. After that I'm going to finish getting all of the Johto badges and then go back to Kanto.

So, what about you guys? Are any of you going to be in Goldenrod for the rest of December? And how many of you are going to take on the Kanto gyms? I don't know when I'll finally be able to go, but it might be cool to meet up over there, too!

[The feed begins with a battle. It's a fairly typical one - Kee Keema the Feraligatr against a Snubbull just outside of Goldenrod. Given the huge difference in level, it doesn't take long for Kee Keema to win. Without warning, the video spins to the holder, one grinning Wataru.]

Hey! Today's August 29th, right? That means it's been exactly one year since I got here.

[He pauses. It's kind of a depressing thought, but he's determined to make the best of it.]

One whole year ago, I woke up in New Bark Town with Kee Keema here. Of course, he was just a Totodile then, heh. It was confusing at first, but when I realized what had happened... it was like a dream come true.

After that, I started traveling with Yuyuko. She was really nice... but she disappeared not long after. She's probably back home where she belongs, which is better. And after that, I met Kisa and Artemis and Savyna and Ritsu and traveled with them. And even later, I got to meet Artemis' little brother, Beckett!

[His smile falters slightly, but he manages to keep it up.]

Beckett and Savyna have left, but I still have so many more friends. I don't think I could name everyone... There's so many of you. You know who you are, though. At least, I hope you do.

[He takes a deep breath. Just a little more.]

So I guess what I'm trying to say is... thanks for making my year in Johto so great! Without everybody, it just wouldn't have been the same.

Hey, can I talk with you all for a bit?

[Action for Goldenrod]

[When Wataru woke up today, he'd had a number of expectations. For one thing, he expected his bed to be empty save for himself. This turned out to be not quite so true when he found a sword by his side, and a very familiar one at that.

After ultimately deciding to take his Brave's Sword along with him to check out what was causing all the chaos outside, something happened that blew all of his other expectations out of the water.

Namely, a red dragon descending from the sky. While only around six feet, it's still a hefty looking creature, and one he remembered well.]

Jozo-?!

Wataru! There you are! I've been lookin' all over for you! Where's this place, anyway?

[The dragon lands by Wataru, looking pleased to have found him. Wataru is confused, too, but more than happy to see a friend from Vision.]

((OOC: Wataru will be flying around with Jozo during this event, so feel free to see him in the sky or assume they've landed in whatever city you happen to be in! Just mark it in the comment title so I know 8D;))

[The face that appears on the screen is not really what you would expect from Wataru's Gear. This is mostly because the face is that of a Pichu instead of a boy, and a very excited looking Pichu at that. Once it's sure the video feed is on, it will begin chattering in Pokélanguage.]

Hi! I'm Katchan and I just hatched and some of my trainer's other Pokémon were talking about this so I pushed some buttons and then it turned on just like they said! And they also said my trainer keeps using it to talk to people so now I am too!

I hope he doesn't mind playing because I really really really want to play but right after I hatched he said he had to go somewhere and now I don't know where he is but I hope he comes back soon! And-

[In the background, there is the sound of a door opening. That alone is enough to make the Pichu turn with a squeak, before practically bouncing away from the Gear.]

There you are, Katchan! I had too many Pokémon before, but now there's enough space for you in my team. Isn't that great?

[When Wataru finally comes into view, the little Pichu is happily perched on his shoulder. Since he's actively looking for his Gear, it doesn't take him very long to find it. Though once he does... his expression changes quite suddenly.]

Huh? How did this get turned on? I know I shut if off before I left.

...

[The feed cuts for a moment as he looks into the Gear's last recorded item. When it comes back, he's pretty clearly exasperated.]

...How did he learn how to get at it so quickly?!

[Action/Private thought]

( tl;dr Wataru reflects on his situation. )

[When Wataru turns on the Gear, he looks a little uncertain. He doesn't really know if anyone is even awake at this hour, nor if anyone would bother answering even if they were, but... he wants to know anyway.]

Does anyone know... what would make a goddess or a god need a sacrifice?

[Wataru looks very happy today! This may have something to do with the egg he is holding carefully in his arms.]

I know I'm not the only one, but... it looks like I've got an egg, too! I wonder what it'll hatch into...?
